History

Metro Markets was established in 1997 as a division of Mansour Manufacturing and Distribution, part of the Mansour Group company (owned and managed by the Mansour family), a leading diversified private sector conglomerate in Egypt. The first outlet was opened in 1998, in Khalifa Al Ma’moun, Heliopolis. The chain has now expanded to 32 branches covering Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Mansoura, Ismailia, Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Port Said.
