SARASWATI RICE MILLTaraori or Tarori, as it is sometimes called in the local dialect, is a city and aTehsil (Municipal committee ) 16 km north ofKarnal inKarnal District in theIndia n state ofHaryana .It was here that in1191 CE that theHindu army underPrithviraj Chauhan had defeated the invading army ofMuhammad of Ghaur . The following year Ghauri invaded again and defeated Prithviraj's forces by resorting to treachery. A wall around the town is now in a dilapidated condition.
