Yisrael Maimon ( _he. ישראל מימון) is a
lawyer and formerCabinet Secretary ofIsrael .Maimon graduated from Blich High School in
Ramat Hen ,Ramat Gan ref|grad. In 1984, he became a member of theGolani Brigade , before attaining the rank of CompanyCommander at the school for Section Commanders. He is a Major in the Israeli reserves, and an Officer in the operations branch of the Northern Infantry.Maimon is also a lawyer, and has worked as one since 1993. He worked at the firm Haberman, Dovev, Stern and Partners, became a partner in January 1999 until his appointment as Government Secretary. He has much experience in
counsel ling and providing presentations before legaltribunal s.Between 1993 and 1994 he served as a legal assistant to Dr.
Suzy Navot , then presidingjudge of the Supreme Tribunal of the College of Administration. He holds an LL.B. from the Academic Track of the College of Administration Law School inTel Aviv . He was an honours student in the first two years of his study there.Yisrael Maimon has also written numerous reviews of articles and new
books relating to law.On
19 June 2002 , he became Legal Adviser to the Prime Minister before swiftly being appointed Government Secretary on4 March the following year. He was in charge of a committee to find a new head ofLishkat Hakesher , the liaison bureau, afterZvi Magen resigned. He stepped down from his position as Cabinet Secretary on 01 July 2007;Prime Minister Ehud Olmert appointedOved Yehezkel to replace him.Mr. Maimon is married and a father of three.
