Jim Berry

Jim Berry

Jim Berry (b. 1932, Chicago) is an American comic strip artist.

He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a BA degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Art.

His most notable work may well be the comic strip, "Berry's World", which ran for more than 40 years beginning in 1963. It is even more notable that he never missed a deadline for that strip in all that time. He also produced the comic strip "Benjy" in 1974 and 1975.

He received the National Cartoonist Society Newspaper Panel Cartoon Award for the series for 1965, 1966, and 1972. For his work on "Berry at the Democratic Convention" he received their Special Features Award for 1972.
