Philadelphia ,Pennsylvania . Marks was married and divorced several times, and had two brothers and five sisters.Career
Marks was best known for appearances on American
television series in the 1960s, particularly "Dick Van Dyke" and "Merv Griffin" shows. He also appeared in a number offilm s, including "Peeper ", "Train Ride to Hollywood" and "Don't Miss the Boat". He was featured as the American Indian "Pink Cloud" in the 1967 ABCcomedy Western, "Rango ", starringTim Conway .He attracted
international attention with the surprise novelty hitsong "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas" (also remembered by itslyric "Your red scarf matches your eyes"), recorded in May 1968, butparody ing themedley s and otherpopular music conventions of thebig band era. A re-release did similarly well in 1978, reaching number 25 in theUK Singles Chart .Marks continued to perform into the 1980s, featuring in the
sitcom "You Again? " as Harry, his last significant role.He died on
28 November 1987 , in Brigantine,New Jersey at the age of sixty-four.Discography
