Jammal Alberto Lord (born January 10, 1981 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American football safety. He was selected with the tenth pick of the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft out of the University of Nebraska by the Houston TexansFact|date=August 2007. He now plays WR/CB for the Arena Football League 2 Albany Conquest. Lord was born in the Bed-Stuy section of Brooklyn and moved to Bayonne, New Jersey after his father was killed in Panama. He learned option-style football as a nine-year-old quarterback on the local Pop Warner team. He went on to high school where he was a first team all state quarterback along with Chris Simms. Lord played quarterback at Nebraska and ran Nebraska's option-style offense of the era. Jammal's remarkable athleticism allowed him to excel as a double-threat quarterback, although his passing ability was criticized.
