Before taking up boxing, Fields played college basketball and was a starter at forward for
San Diego State University . Fields never was an amateur. Standing at 6 feet and 8 inches and weighing around 275lbs (125kg), thesouthpaw Fields is considered large even for the heavyweight division.In his professional career he has beaten opponents such as
Saul Montana ,Bruce Seldon ,Sedreck Fields ,Maurice Harris , Domonic Jenkins, Kendrick Releford and Roderick Willis. He started his career with a streak of 17 consecutive KO victories (16 of them coming in the first round) before he suffered his first loss toJeff Ford via a 1st round KO. He would later avenge this defeat by knocking out Ford in a rematch, also in the 1st round. In total Fields has 23 first round knockouts among his 41 professional victories.
