With the construction of Vizag Steel Plant its growth started in a rapid pace. It was called GAJA VAAGU which means the stream of elephants. In the olden days, Elephants used to gather near a stream to drink water. Hence the place got the name Gajawagu which with the passage of time has become'Gajuwaka'
