She went to Hatfield Girls' Grammar School (became the comprehensive
Bishops Hatfield Girls School ) on "Woods Avenue" in Hatfield. AtDe Montfort University , she gained a BA in Business Studies in 1999.Career
She worked as a bank clerk at

As Isobel Wilson, she won her

When the Liberal Democrats won outright control of Milton Keynes Council in May 2002, the Party made a surprise announcement that she would take over as Leader (rather than Cllr Irene Henderson who led the Party into the election but stood down as group leader just days after the Liberal Democrat victory).
Parliamentary candidacy
In 2001 McCall stood in the Parliamentary constituency of Buckingham against the Conservative
frontbencher John Bercow . She finished third behind Bercow and the Labour Party candidate, even though Buckingham is a seat where the Liberal Democrats came second at the previous general election.Membership of other bodies
