"The Joystrings" were a 1960s UK
Christian music group led byJoy Webb , an officer (now retired) inThe Salvation Army .They were the first Salvation Army pop group achieving chart success with "It's An Open Secret" and "On A Starry Night". The main members through the years were Joy Webb, Peter & Sylvia Dalziel, Bill Davidson and Wycliffe Noble. The group have a number of other singers who changed due to the group consisting of cadets originating from The Salvation Army's training college in
