She has performed at many concert halls and opera houses around the world, includingVienna ,Frankfurt ,Los Angeles ,San Francisco , andSydney , and has performed for China's PresidentJiang Zemin and Australian Prime MinisterJohn Howard .Lunlun Zou performs and teaches in

She has her own style of playing the guzheng which is different from the traditional way of playing, and often causes controversy. She plays the guzheng in the manner of the
piano in its dynamic range, from "ppp" to "fff".Biography
Lunlun was born in a family with four generations-long tradition of guzheng playing. She started playing the guzheng at age 2, and undertook serious music studies at age 7 when she entered a music boarding school, which was part of the
Shenyang Conservatory of Music. At age 18, Lunlun begun music studies at the Shenyang Conservatory, where she was taught by Zhao Yuzhai, Cao Zheng, Lu Diansheng, and Zhang Jinxia. Four years later, she graduated with highest honors.In 1991 she was appointed as a guzheng soloist in the
Liaoning Dance Troupe. In 1995 she moved toNew Zealand and was invited to perform at the New Zealand National Museum, New Zealand-Sino Friendship Association, "Orient Express Radio", "Page 90" Gallery ofPorirua , and theGenghis Khan Cultural Heritage Exhibition. In 1997, she was invited by New Zealand's Governor General to perform for the opening ceremony of the "Asian Arts Festival" at the Government House. In 1999, Lunlun performed forJiang Zemin during his visit to Sydney and in 2004 for the Chief Executive ofMacau ,Edmund Ho .She has won many music competition prizes and awards. She regularly tours through major cities in
China ,Hong Kong ,New Zealand ,Australia , and theUnited States , records for radio and television.While she lived inAustralia , Lunlun established a Chinese traditional music group, "3 Sisters", withpipa player (Lulu Liu), anderhu player (Yingying Liu). The trio often performed at theSydney Opera House with the East-West Symphony Orchestra.She has recorded a CD called "Spring Hope" by the Art Tune Recording Company of Hong Kong.
