Srikanth (born February 28, 1979) to a Brahmin family. He is a south Indian film actor. He debuted in the hit Tamil movie "Roja Kootam".

Film career

His debut movie Rojakootam was a big plus for him as it became a runaway hit. The movie was directed by Sasi and the music was scored by Bharatwaj. Srikanth then performed in April Maathathil alongside Sneha. April Maathathil was directed by SS Stanley with music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raaja.

Srikanth has also starred in telugu movies, himself being a telugu-born guy, with the screenname Sriram. He is married to Vandana, a Pondicherry girl who completed her MBA in Australia.

Marriage issue

There’s a new twist in the Srikanth-Vandana marriage issue with the actor agreeing that he indeed married Vandana at a secret ceremony held on February 7th in Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh). With the wedding photographs, released to the media, bearing testimony to the fact that he is really married, the actor is making no attempts to hide his marriage with Vandana. According to Srikanth, his parents did not know about the marriage and only Vandana’s parents and his relative Geetha were present during the wedding ceremony.

Further, Srikanth said that their marriage was registered at Kakinada and the traditional wedding ceremony was held only for photographic purposes. He also added that there was no “agni homam” during the ceremony, which is an essential part in the solemnization of Hindu wedding.

Stating that Vandana and her parents are threatening him with dire consequences if he refuses to live with her, Srikanth also alleged that there are plans to abduct him with the help of some rowdy elements. It was due to this fear that he and his parents left their home, he added. He also rubbished the claims that he demanded Rs. 10 lakhs dowry from Vandana’s family.

Reconciliation

After a series of court trials and embarrassments, both the families turned to peace.
