Mary Pynenburg

Mary Pynenburg (born 1956 in Perth, Ontario) is an urban planner and Liberal Party politician in British Columbia, Canada. She is the Liberal candidate in the riding of Burnaby—New Westminster in the 2006 federal election. She holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from Carleton University and a Masters in Planning from the University of Ottawa. Fact|date=June 2007She has worked for Public Works Canada, the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, and Canadian Pacific Hotels. She is curenly an urban planning consultant in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. She is currently on the advisory committee for the applied planning assistant program at Langara College, and is the former president of the New Westminster Rotary and is on the Massey Theatre Board. In the 2004 federal election, she ran in Burnaby—New Westminster, and finished second to Peter Julian of the New Democratic Party. She lost by 329 votes. She ran again in 2006, and placed second to Peter Julian again, this time by 3,971 votes.Fact|date=June 2007
