2010-11 Administration
Chris Vaughn has been at the school since 2003. After serving as an assistant football coach, US History teacher and assistant principal, he began leading Clarksville High School as principal in the Fall of 2006. Heather Crenshaw serves as the campus Student Service Coordinator. The school provides an annual Student Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (SASVAB) test and currently has one 2010 graduate enlisted in the Army.
Accountability rating
In past years, the campus had fallen victim to lower and lower test scores on the state-mandated TAKS Test. The District was determined to turn things around. After much hard work from educators and students, the Clarksville High School went from being an unacceptable campus to a "Recognized Campus" in 2009-2010. Clarksville High School and its administrators, teachers and students continue to strive for excellence in every area and are looking forward to receiving an "Exemplary" status in the future.
School song
All hail Alma Mater
Thy queen of all the rest
In all our fond memories
Thy name we love the best
And as we walk the path of life
And sail the storm-tossed seas
Our beacon of light shall ever be
Our days at Clarksville High School
C*H*S!!!
The tune of the school song is based on the Piu Andante theme from the Fourth Movement of Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 1. A recording by the Columbia University Orchestra can be found here.
