George London (landscape architect)

George London (1681-1714) was an English nurseryman and garden designer. He aspired to the baroque style and worked on the gardens at Hampton Court, Melbourne Hall and Wimpole Hall.

George London's birth date is not certain but it was probably about 1640. The date given above is the date he began his partnership with Henry Wise (1653 - 1738) in the famed Brompton Nursery.
