Po Kuan (zh-tsp|t=破軍|s=破軍|p=Pò Jūn) is a character in the popular Fung Wan comic series. He studied swordsplay together with Nameless at Kim Zhong under the tutelage of his father Kim Wai. He was a spoilt son who swore adversity towards Nameless since the day Nameless rescued his future wife (whom Po Kuan also liked) from being taken advantage by Po Kuan. Nameless also almost defeated him in the battle to obtain Kim Zhong's greatest sword stance - his father's freezing stance froze Nameless's sword in mid-air, as well as freezing all the people present (except Nameless, Po Kuan and Kim Wong). The duel was technically a draw.

After the battle, Po Kuan fled to Japan for many years. There he acquired his weapons - sword Greedy Wolf and Japanese blade Heaven Blade. Po Kuan is the only dual-weapon fighter in the entire comic series.

Po Kuan is also one of the fighters who had absorbed the powers of the Dragon Pills (7 broken pieces of the Dragon Sphere). The others are:
* "Still alive"
** Cloud
** Wind
** Juet Sum
* "Deceased"
** Duen Long (absorbed 2 Dragon Pills)
** Dai Seik Tin

Evil deeds

For a long time he had been a womaniser and a menace to the martial world. Wind's mother followed Po Kuan after she left her husband and son but Po Kuan traded her to Juet Mou San in return for a powerful stance, Sat Po Long.

Po Kuan also kidnapped Nameless's first disciple Kim Sun and used Kim Sun for evil deeds to sabotage Nameless. This on-set Kim Sum's fall from grace.

While he himself was not an arch villain, Po Kuan did his fair share of assisting arch villains Juet Mou San and Dai Seik Tin (but with his own hidden agenda). He was forced to help Juet Mou San after acquiring the skills of Sat Po Long. Later he assisted the phantom menace Dai Seik Tin to obtain the Dragon Sphere so that he could steal the Dragon Sphere for himself.

He was given the task of killing Cloud by Dai Seik Tin. Cloud managed to cut off Po Kuan's nose, and Po Kuan has been noseless since. The red scar on his left forehead was inflicted by Nameless during their duel in Kim Zhong.

Downfall and Salvation

He was fatally injured after the struggles with other swordsman to obtain bits of the Dragon Sphere. While hiding from his enemies in a stream, he was found by Wind and Cloud.

Feeling hopeless, he implored Cloud to finish him off. Despite having done so many evil deeds to Cloud and his master Nameless, Cloud showed mercy and gave Po Kuan the Dragon Pill that he (Cloud) obtained. The Dragon Pill saved Po Kuan's life but blacked out his memory.

The New Po Kuan

Since then, he wandered all over the martial world as a madman and only remembered that Cloud was his saviour. Po Guan would eventually run into Nameless, who offered him the same hospitality. Recently, Po Kuan regained his memory. Knowing that he owed much to Cloud and Nameless, he turned over a new leaf and used his skills to aid Nameless in saving the martial world.

Challenge of the 10 Demons

Recently, Po Kuan was enlisted by Nameless to aid against the threat of the ten demons of the martial world. He fought along side Wind, Cloud, Nameless, and other established fighters, and together they were able to temporarily subdue them. Unfortunately, it was not over, and many of the demons returned months later. Po Kuan and the other fighters on the "good side" must work together once more to deal with the oncoming threat.
