Patriz Ilg (born
December 5 ,1957 inAalen-Oberalfingen ) is a retired 3000 m steeplechaser fromWest Germany .He won a silver medal at the 1978 European Championships and gold medals at the 1982 European Championships in Athens and the 1983 World Championships in
Helsinki . Helsinki remained his career best time.
