Aide Iskandar (born
May 28 1975 , inSingapore ) is a professional soccer player who played for theSingapore national football team . Aide was thecaptain of the team which won theTiger Cup regional soccer championship in 2005 and 2007. He was also a member of the Singapore team which won the Tiger Cup in 1998.Football career
He spent 10 years with
Home United FC in theS-league before opting to joinJohor FA in theMalaysian League in November 2005. He then went on loan atTampines Rovers FC for the 2006 season in Singapore. For the 2007–08 season, he moved toGeylang United FC .In September 2007, he was banned for five games and was fined SGD$2500 for insulting the referee after his team, Geylang United lost controversially to
Home United by conceding two goals in the final five minutes. It was reported in the papers that he said, "How much did you bet on the game, ref?".Fact|date=May 2008Because of that incident, he was dropped from the national team for the game against UAE and missed the World Cup qualifier against Palestine.
