Karnei Shomron, or Qarne Shomron, (Hebrew: קרני שומרון), meaning literally "the Horns of Samaria" is an Israeli local council that was first established in 1977. in the western Samaria region (West Bank), east of Kfar Saba. It is convert|48|km|mi north-east of Tel Aviv and convert|85|km|mi north of Jerusalem. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) end of 2006 estimate, the population of Karnei Shomron is 6,300.

Karnei Shomron is now actually made up of a group of several previously independent Israeli settlements that were united in 1991:
*Karnei Shomron - established in 1977 and now includes about 450 families,
* Ginot Shomron - established in 1984 and now includes about 850 families,
* Neve Menachem - established in 1991 and now includes about 220 families,as well as newer neighbourhoods called Alonei Shilo (1999, 25 families and a large girls midrasha), Mitzpe Tzvaim, and Ramat Gil'ad.

The chief rabbi of Karnei Shomron is Rabbi Yitzhak Halevi. Herzl Ben-Ari is the head of the Karnei Shomron Local Council. Prominent Likud member and Manhigut Yehudit Chairman Moshe Feiglin lives in Karnei Shomron.

Terror attacks
