C2 (pronounced "eck die") is a
Welsh language music show onBBC Radio Cymru . It broadcasts on weeknights between 8pm and 1am fromBBC Cymru 's studios inCardiff and Bangor.It broadcasts a mix of popular music in both Welsh and English, tending towards rock and
pop rock .News bulletins are broadcast every hour between 8pm and 11pm. A short 45-second round-up of the headlines is broadcast at the start of the evening with the rest of the evening's bulletins lasting around 3 minutes.
C2 also broadcasts an annual nation-wide
Battle of the Bands competition, supported byCymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg , with regional rounds broadcast leading up to the final. The competition is open to any Welsh-medium popular music performers.October 2007 relaunch
On 8 October 2007, C2 underwent major changes & relaunched with Magi Dodd taking over the 8pm-10pm show. Former Big Brother contestant
Glyn Wise joined Dodd to co-present twice a week. Her predecessor Dafydd Du moved to a new late show broadcast from 11pm-1am every weeknight along with a new lunchtime show on Saturdays (12:30pm-2pm).Huw Stephens remains on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10pm but his Thursday night show has ended.Lisa Gwilym now presents one-hour programmes on Thursdays and Fridays at 10pm along with a longer Sunday afternoon programme (albeit not as part of C2). The Wednesday night 10pm slot is now given over to feature series.The revamp coincided with the departures of Stephen Edwards,
Terwyn Davies and Kevin Davies. Jeni Lyn left her role as presenter but continues work as a music correspondent for the Magi Dodd show.The website was also relaunched with a new regular blog from the presenters.

Dafydd Du left "C2" on Friday
19 September 2008 to work on a weekday morning show with Radio Cymru sports presenter, Eleri Sion. His departure resulted in the introduction of three new presenters to the 11pm-1am show - singer Brychan Llyr on Mondays and Tuesdays, comedian Daniel Glyn (previously a stand-in host for Dafydd Du) on Wednesdays and actress Ffion Dafis on Thursdays and Fridays.Following a full week of late shows presented by Glyn, Llyr and Dafis are due to present their first "C2" programmes on
29 September and3 October respectively.Presenters
