Anthony Young, Baron Young of Norwood Green

Anthony Ian Young, Baron Young of Norwood Green (born 14 April 1942) is a British politician and Labour Party life peer in the House of Lords. [http://www.dodonline.co.uk/engine.asp?lev1=4&lev2=38&menu=81&biog=y&id=32307]

He had previously been senior General Secretary of the National Communications Union, then deputy general secretary of the Communication Workers Union. He also served as a Governor of the BBC. He was made a peer as Baron Young of Norwood Green, of Norwood Green in the London Borough of Ealing in 2004. [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3674543.stm] In October 2008 he was appointed as a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
