Denton Record-Chronicle

The Denton Record-Chronicle is the official newspaper for the city of Denton, Texas and Denton County since 1899.

William Edwards consolidated the Denton Chronicle (1882) and the Denton County Record (1898), as a weekly newspaper. It wasn't until August 3, 1903 that the paper was published daily. The estimated daily subscription circulation in 2008 is 15,000, with a Wednesday circulation of 38,500 (delivered to subscribers and free to non-subscribers) and a Sunday circulation of 19,500.[citation needed]

It is currently owned by the A. H. Belo Corporation.
