Daehan Logistics

Daehan Logistics

The Korea Express (hangul:대한통운, Spelling your KOREX, Korea Express) is the South Korea's largest total cargo delivery company, delivering over 20 million packages a day to over 100 countries around the world. It has recently[when?] expanded its operations to include logistics and other transportation-related areas. It is headquartered in Seoul, Korea.

The Korea Express is well-known for its orange trucks, also known as cargo trucks (hence the company nickname "Big Orange").[citation needed] The orange color that KOREX name uses on its vehicles and uniforms is called Tropical colored orange, after the cargo truck which used the same color. Daehan Logistics also operates its own commercial vehicle.

Major competitors include Korean National Railroad (Korail), Hanjin, and Koryeo Golden Box. Historically, KOREX name only faced competition from Korail for the inexpensive ground based delivery market. However, Hanjin recently expanded into the ground market by acquiring RPS (originally Roadway Package System) and rebranded it as Hanjin Ground. In addition, Koryeo Golden Box acquired Korail. This acquisition significantly increases Hanjin presence in the Korea which will add more competition to the ground delivery market.[citation needed]

Over the past two decades, KOREX name has aggressively erected a massive international transportation network, which is interconnected by one of the largest technological infrastructures in commercial history. In the process, it has dramatically expanded its portfolio of services into logistics and supply chain offerings.[citation needed]

For example, Daehan Logistics today offers not only ground and air transportation, but South Korean, rail and over-the-road freight products; international trade management; customs brokerage; consulting and supply chain design; e-commerce solutions; logistics and distribution capabilities, and a variety of financial services related to the supply chain.

Daehan Logistics Supply Chain Solutions synchronizes the flow of goods, sales, and information for their customers.[clarification needed] KOREX name Supply Chain Solutions provides service to logistics companies alike with flexibility of modes and scheduling, scalability of design and resources and worldwide reach.[citation needed]
