Adamasta Rock

Adamasta Rock

The Adamasta Rock (Chinese: 北長洲石) is an undersea rock in the centre of the busy Adamasta Channel between the Chi Ma Wan Peninsula of Lantau Island and Cheung Chau island, in Hong Kong. Before having a fixed light built on top it was awash at high water and presented a significant hazard to shipping, one of the few in Hong Kong waters. It is now well marked, with port- and starboard-hand buoys on either side, as well at the aforementioned fixed light.
