mountain range located in east-centralNevada in theUnited States . The mountains are found mostly inEureka County northeast of theRoberts Mountains and west of the Diamond Valley andDiamond Mountains . The range lies in a north-south direction, and reaches an elevation of convert|7686|ft|m|0 at Bald Mountain. The range crosses intoElko County at the northeastern end.The
Bureau of Land Management manages 80.7% of the Sulpher Spring Range, and 19.3% is privately held.Mammals found in the range include: theLong-tailed Vole ,Great Basin pocket mouse , and theDeer mouse . TheGolden Eagle andMohave Desert sidewinder can also be found in the mountains.Trees found in the range include:
Utah Juniper ("Juniperus osteosperma"), andSingle-leaf Pinyon ("Pinus monophylla").References
