Uri (Bible)

Uri (Bible)

Uri is mentioned in Exodus 31 and 1 Chronicles 2 as a member of the Tribe of Judah. He is the son of Hur and the father of Bezaleel.

Another Uri, a porter, is mentioned in Ezra 10 as one of those who have taken "strange wives."

The meaning of the name in English is "my light" or "my flame".
