Doyle Grisham

Doyle Grisham was born in Temple, Texas and started playing guitar professionally when he was fifteen. At 21, while on tour with the Big "D" Jamboree, he began playing steel guitar professionally.

Over the years, Doyle has played with Lynn Anderson, England Dan and John Ford Coley, Dr. Hook, Bill Anderson, James Talley, Buzz Cason, The Hemphills, The Rambos, The Lewis Family, Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary), Freddy Weller, Dickey Lee, Kenny Rogers and The First Edition, Jim Glaser, George Jones, Johnny Duncan, Reba McEntire, Dan Seals, Randy Travis, Mel Tillis, Frankie Laine, Roy Drusky and Kitty Wells, Del Reeves, Mac Wiseman, Leona Williams, Amy Lee, Baillie and the Boys, Tiny Tim and, Jimmy Buffett.

In 1986, Doyle was chosen as one of the five finalists for Instrumentalist of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards. During the past few years he has divided his time between studio musician and engineer, record producer, and traveling musician, most recently as the steel guitar player on the "A Salty Piece of Land Tour." He has appeared on several of Buffett's albums over the last 30 years.

Doyle currently resides near Nashville, Tennessee where he continues to perform studio steel guitar work. Doyle can play an assortment of instruments like steel guitar, acoustic and electric guitar, dobro, keyboards, drum machine programming, and bass guitar. He also is a Co-owner with business partner Danny Rasberry, of Gulf Steel (GSM) a company dedicated to providing new artists and writers an affordable opportunity to get their music heard. Also under the Gulf Steel Music umbrella is First Look Music -ASCAP. Doyle engineers sessions and provides assistance with musical projects. He has had some of Nashville's best musicians sit in on sessions.
