2003 FIFA World Youth Championship , and scored a fascinating goal versus England. He appeared as a member of the first team at the2006 African Cup of Nations , scoring twice in the last group game against the Ivory Coast and once in the quarter final against the Democratic Republic of Congo.Motaeb also scored in the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship 5th place playoff against Sydney F.C. in
