Todd Gill (born
9 November , 1965 in Cardinal,Ontario ,Canada ) is a retiredprofessional ice hockey defenceman who played in the NHL between 1984 and 2003. He played the majority of his career for theToronto Maple Leafs , and has also played for theSan Jose Sharks , St. Louis Blues,Detroit Red Wings ,Phoenix Coyotes ,Colorado Avalanche , andChicago Blackhawks .Gill was drafted 25th overall by the
Toronto Maple Leafs in the1984 NHL Entry Draft . Gill played in 1,007 career NHL games, scoring 82 goals and 270 assists for 352 points. He also registered 1,214 career penalty minutes. His best season was the 1992–93 season, when he scored 11 goals, 32 assists and 43 points (all career highs) while withToronto . During the 1996 entry draft, he was traded to San Jose, where he served as their captain for two years until he was traded near the end of the 1997–1998 season to St. Louis.Currently, Todd coaches the CJHL's
Brockville Braves . He was named Coach of the Year for the 2006–2007 season.ee also
