Bill Profili (born
August 29 ,1947 ) was a candidate for theLiberal Party of Canada in the riding of BC Southern Interior in the 2006 Federal ElectionBorn in Rossland,
British Columbia , Profili is a retiredparamedic formerly employed by the B.C. Ambulance Service, and was active in C.U.P.E. during that time. He was also coached minorsoftball and minorhockey , and is an avid outdoorsman. He belongs to theColombo Lodge ,Knights of Columbus ,Royal Canadian Legion and theTrail Wildlife Association .Political History
He was elected a city councillor in Rossland for four years and Mayor of Rossland for 16 years. Profili was chair of the
Lower Columbia Community Development Team (LCCDT), and was a founding member of the Community Futures Committee and its chair for two years. He also chaired the Community Forest Advisory Committee (CFAC) and co-chaired the Highway 3B Mayors Committee concerning highway issues from Princeton to theAlberta border. He was also the Regional District Finance Chairman for the Regional District of Kootenay-Boundary.External links
