Winrich Behr (born 22 January 1918) was a Panzer Captain and recipient of the Knight's Cross who was on the intelligence staff of the Sixth Army during the Stalingrad encirclement. He tried to convince Hitler of the hopelessness of winning the war on the Eastern Front. This conversation took place in the same bunker in which Stauffenberg left a bomb in an attempt to assassinate Hitler sixteen months later.
