film , starringGary Busey ,Yaphet Kotto ,Denise Galik-Furey ,Seymour Cassel , William Smith andJudith Barsi . The movie was directed byRichard C. Sarafian .Plot summary
Buck Matthews (Gary Busey), a Vietnam veteran, is released from prison and returns to his old hometown to find the place has become the target of a motorcycle gang. Shortly after, the bikers murder his wife Christie (Denise Galik) by simply riding circles around her on their dirt-bikes, and traumatize his daughter Jennifer (Judith Barsi). After Christie's funeral, the gang digs up her corpse and drags it around town behind their bikes and deposit the remains on Buck's lawn. Buck has a problem: his parole officer (Seymour Cassel), the sheriff of the town, is in league with the bikers. Buck seeks the help of an old friend, J.B. Deveraux (Yaphet Kotto) who is also a veteran, and a deputy in the town who at first did not want to help Buck, but later on changes his mind. They vow to eradicate the gang.
A cameo by
Randall "Tex" Cobb as the gang leader's brother, is cut short by Matthews, who uses steel wire to cut off his head. He would play a similar role as Leonard Smalls inRaising Arizona . The final scene, which is an overly dramatic fight scene over which "Eye of the Tiger" predictably plays, takes place in a cocaine-filled shack at the gang's hideout.Buck Matthews' (Gary Busey) personal on-screen kill count is 65, but this is an approximation based on a 5 kills per bombed shelter estimation. There are 45 on screen Matthews-inflicted deaths.
