Jürgen Kohler (born October 6, 1965 in Lambsheim) is a German football manager and a former football player. He enjoyed a lengthy career at the highest level, playing primarily as a centre back in the German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A and for Germany. He was famed for his defensive perception, physical strength and prowess in the air. However, Kohler ended his career on a sad note by getting sent-off and directly causing Dotmund to concede a penalty in the UEFA Cup final against Feyenoord. After his playing career was over, he has managed the German under-21 side, and became sports director of Bayer Leverkusen on March 31, 2003, quitting this post on June 29, 2004. On December 17, 2005, he was appointed the coach of MSV Duisburg.

On August 31, 2006, he reportedly turned down the opportunity to coach the Ivory Coast national team.On August 28, 2008, Kohler signed a three-year contract as manager of German 3rd Liga club VfR Aalen.
