- Cadsoft Corporation
Cadsoft is a global developer of 3D modeling software for the residential and light commercial construction market. The products offer 3D design to improve the conceptual design stages, paired with extensive modeling and rendering capabilities for client presentations. The collected information in the 3D model connects the users choices to the working drawings and framing documentation to provide a complete 2D/3D design solution from concept through to construction.
Since 1984, Cadsoft has provided software to improve efficiencies with not only 3D designs, but the practical application of project material lists, steel and timber framing with diagrams, drawings and renderings, based on the industry standard AutoCAD graphics engine.
Cadsoft's alliance with
Autodesk resulted in the release in 1996 of Cadsoft Build, the first licensed stand-alone product based on the AutodeskOEM Engine. This milestone allowed residential designers to produce 100% AutoCAD compatible drawings at a reasonable cost. Alliances with other developers such as Timberline, Buildsoft, and CSG, provide builders and designers the ability to link the material list functions with virtually all popular estimating packages.Cadsoft products include
Envisioneer is a superior 3D (BIM) building information modeling software tool that easily conveys project information from initial conceptual design of buildings, interior designs and landscape design ideas through to fully animated 3D visualizations and the finished construction drawings – including floor plans, elevations, sections, foundations and roof layouts. A complete bill of materials can also be generated from the intelligent buildingn model.
Cadsoft also licenses the Envisioneer technology to a number of 3rd party vendors and publishers of design software which include:
IMSI TurboFloorPlan series of products, FrameCAD Architect, 3D Home Architect versions 5-8, Hyne Timber EZEDraw
