Liz George

The Hon. Elizabeth George (born 1967) has worked for CNN as a news correspondent and programme anchor, since 2001.

Career

She started out at the Surrey Advertiser.

Previous to 2001, she worked for the BBC on the programme "Business Breakfast" and also Reuters.

She also presented a sailing programme for CNN. Previously she worked as a producer/reporter for the BBC. She is the daughter of Eddie George, the retired Governor of the Bank of England.

In 2005 she left CNN to work in Russia setting up a new 24 hour news channel, called Russia Today TV.

Liz George has returned to the UK and is freelancing.
