The school sets out to develop the talents of each individual pupil as fully as possible. The pupils are encouraged to set their own personal standards of excellence in all aspects of their lives - the academic, the practical, the sporting and in their social development. The staff attempts to help the pupils achieve these standards and thereby foster a sense of pride in each pupil. They hope that their pupils will take a pride in their own achievements, in their school, in their local community and in their country.
Houses
The school has five different houses, all based on castles around, or nearby Perth. They are
Balmanno Castle ,Elcho Castle ,Huntingtower Castle ,Kinfauns Castle andPitheavlis Castle .Uniform
All pupils at Perth High School are required to wear a white shirt, with the school tie (which is blue, black and yellow) up to the second button at least, with black trousers (males) or skirt (females). A black or navy-blue jumper and black shoes are also required.
