Andrea Ferretti (born 18 September 1986 in Parma) is an Italian footballer. He plays as a striker, currently with Cesena.

History

He came through the youth academy of Italian club Parma before being offered a trial at Football League Championship club Cardiff City, after becoming highly recommended by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Mainly playing for the reserves, Ferretti has proven himself to be a prolific goal scorer. In the same Cardiff set-up that has produced players such as Joe Ledley and Cameron Jerome.

In August 2006, having yet to start a game or score a goal for the Bluebirds first team, Andrea was loaned out to Football League One club Scunthorpe United for an initial one-month period. His squad number for Scunthorpe was 23 before returning to his parent club in early September of the same year after his loan came to an end.

He joined Cesena in the 2007 pre-season.

*Andrea is not only fluent in Italian, but is also fluent in Spanish.
*When returning to Italy, Ferretti loves to meet Fulvio Rocco Ferrari and Otello Corradi, two childhood friends and together they play "balilla football".
*Ferretti is also good mates with Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi as they played together in the same Parma youth side.
