California . It gained a following mainly due to its lead singer, actorJames Marsters .The band was formed in April 2002. Its members were
Charlie De Mars (guitar and vocals), Aaron Anderson (drums and vocals),James Marsters (lead vocals),Steve Sellers (keyboards and vocals), andKevin McPherson (bass). Influences includeWeezer ,Jimmy Eat World , andBen Folds , among others. The band recorded one album, "Mad Brilliant ", a showcase of Charlie's song writing skills, with James writing "Dangerous", "Angel"' and Sellers writing "Valerie". The album was a sell-out success, as were both European tours in 2003 and 2004.On their 2004 European tour, the band chose to release an EP entitled "It's Nothing", giving a taster from their long awaited second album. The second album was not released as James Marsters left to pursue other creative activities, leaving the band to its original form
Power Animal who shortly released their albumVs. the world thereafter.Marsters is now a semi-successful solo performer with a sold-out tour in the UK in April 2005. The other band members are continuing in several different bands including
