Daves Rossell

E.G. Daves Rossell, Ph.D. is an architectural historian and Professor of Architectural History at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Rossell's main interests in architectural scholarship are vernacular architecture of the American South and the advent of electricity in residential architecture in America. His doctoral dissertation was written on the latter topic and he has published in other forums on this same subject.

Rossell earned a B.A. in Architecture and a Ph.D. in Architectural History at the Univercity of California, Berkeley prior to joining the faculty of SCAD. In addition to his work as an educator, he is also a consultant on American architecture and has worked in this capacity on a variety of projects. Rossell is the editor of the VGA Monitor, the newsletter of Vernacular Georgia Association and co-editor of ARRIS: The Journal of the Southeast Chapter, Society of Architectural Historians. He is also a member of the Board of Directors, Coastal Georgia Land Trust.
