cantonment town inFarrukhabad district in the state ofUttar Pradesh ,India . It is located on the right bank of theGanges River . It is the administrative headquarters ofFarrukhabad District . Fatehgarh derives its name from an old fort. It is a small city with no significant industrial activity. The Indian army has a big establishment in the form of Rajput Regiment Center and Sikh light Infantry Center. There is a famous temple of Hanuman ji at Bholepur. During the late 80's Fatehgarh was a hideout base for Sikh militants who were wanted by the government. The rise of Militants got so heavy residents feared for there lifes in Fatehgarh and started moving east wards toward Lucknow.Geography
