Thomas "Tom" Warburton, also sometimes credited as Mr. Warburton (born in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ) is an Americananimator .Warburton was raised in the Philadelphia area. He attended
Kutztown University to study graphics design before relocating toNew York City after he was convinced by a friend to drop graphics design and study animation because of his love for cartoons. Warburton is the creator of twoanimated series forCartoon Network : "Kenny and the Chimp " (1999) and "" (2002). Only a pilot episode was produced for "Kenny and the Chimp", but "Codename: Kids Next Door" was selected via Cartoon Network's "Big Pick Weekend" to be expanded into a full series. As of late 2005 it is in production on its sixth season at Curious Pictures inManhattan .Warburton has been involved with the
New York animation industry for many years, and has worked forJ.J. Sedelmaier andJumbo Pictures , done character design for the Disney series "Pepper Ann " and directed several episodes of "Sheep in the Big City " before his work on "Codename: Kids Next Door".
