Ray Korona

Ray Korona writes and sings political commentary, mixing satirical and topical songs with ballads about love and life. His work has been featured on NPR, sparked a cover story in New York Magazine, and won various song contests. He plays acoustic guitar and performs regularly, either solo or with four backing musicians as "The Ray Korona Band".

He has released five full-length CDs over the past decade, along with three short-format CDs. His most recent CD, "The Safe Thing to Do", features a collaboration as writer and performer with Pete Seeger.

He was a regular at the Cornelia Street Cafe's Monday night songwriter workshop in the 1980s.
