Vuda Point

Vuda Point is a location in Fiji's Ba Province, between Nadi and Lautoka. By tradition, it was the landing site of the canoes that brought the Melanesian ancestors of the Fijian people to the country.

Vuda Point features a yacht marina.First Expatriate family to settle in the Vuda was the Kumars, Mishras and Goundar family. They still currently reside in the area except the Mishras, along with other old famalies in the area, such as the Vakubuas, and the Babas. In the 70's an Italian man and his Japanese wife and family Marty and Taro settled hilltop of Vuda lookout and currently still reside there today. The 2 boys now established engineers have offices in Germany, US and Korea. It was a dream to them that one day Vuda lookout would be developed into the most prestigeous and luxurious estate in Fiji. Setting up a new company in 2000, Sapphire Bay Fiji Limited was established to make this dream a reality. The Sapphire Bay Fiji Development will begin first quarter of 2009, from local sources.
