Saint is a Christian metal band, first active in the mid-1980s, releasing their first album "Warriors of the Son" in 1984. Despite their identification as a Christian band they are best known for the negativity reflected in their lyrics. Common themes of their early releases include hell, evil, and apocalyptic themes such as the End times.cite book |last=Powell |first=Mark Allan |title=Encyclopedia of Contemporary Christian Music |year=2002 |publisher=Hendrickson Publishers |location=Peabody, Massachusetts |isbn=1-56563-679-1 |edition=First printing |pages=787]

History

A heavy metal act, they have generally been classified with Christian metal and musically are often compared to Judas Priest, mainly due to the Rob Halford sounding style vocals of lead singer Josh Kramer. The band's most successful album was 1986's "Time's End". The somewhat similar "Too Late for Living" was released in 1988. In the following year the band disbanded.

10 years later in 1999 a revamped lineup, minus Kramer, reformed and released The "Perfect Life", which was not very similar to their early work, being alternately described as garage rock or simply more radio-friendly hard rock.

In early 2004 Richard Lynch teamed up with Kramer once again, and the new lineup released "In The Battle", a return to the traditional heavy metal sound of their classic years.

In Late 2007 Jerry Johnson returned on guitar. "Crime Scene Earth" will be released in 2008 and contains a cover of the Judas Priest song "Invader".
