"What Up, Dog?" is a 1988 album by Was (Not Was). It spawned the hit singles "Spy in the House of Love" (US #16) and "Walk the Dinosaur" (US #7). The music video for "Walk the Dinosaur", featuring the band performing while girls in campy cavegirl costumes danced, was in heavy rotation on MTV and MuchMusic in 1989. Artist/animator Christoph Simon created videos to accompany the tracks "What Up Dog?", "Dad I'm In Jail" and the Tom Waits-style "Earth to Doris". These appeared on MTV's "Liquid Television" and in various film festivals, including the Spike & Mike festival.

While the album had fewer guest musicians than their previous album, Frank Sinatra, Jr. supplied guest vocals on "Wedding Vows in Vegas".

In 1997, Steve Winwood released a tune which borrowed not just the title of "Spy In the House of Love" but also the bass line and other elements. However, no lawsuits ensued (or were settled out of court).Fact|date=February 2007

In 1989, it was ranked #99 on "Rolling Stone" magazine's list of the 100 greatest albums of the 1980s.

The song configurations differ between CD, LP and cassette.
