Burford House Gardens [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/348317] is a popular destination and is located in the southwest of the parish, where the Ledwyche meets the Teme. It is geographically notable for two reasons - it is the most southerly place in Shropshire and is the farthest place from the
county town ,Shrewsbury , at 45km or 28mi. Also, a small part of the parish of Burford lies on the other side of the Ledwyche and is virtually anexclave .Even though Burford has never been in
Herefordshire orWorcestershire , the fire station is run by theHereford and Worcester Fire Service and the hospital is run by the SouthWorcestershire NHS Trust . Equally, the workhouse serving Burford [http://www.tenburyworkhouse.co.uk ] was in Worcestershire.According to the 2001
