Rocky Fisher (USAC driver)

Rocky Fisher (born Stanton Nawrocki in c.a. 1937) is an American automobile racer.

He began racing when he was 15 years old. Rocky is the son of Stanley "The Green Hornet" Nawrocki, who started racing before World War II. Rocky first raced a Crosley-powered T.Q. 3-quarter midget car. He next started running a Flat head Ford Powered Stock Car Coup At M-59 Speedway and Chief Pontiac Speedway, both dirt tracks located in Pontiac, Michigan. It wasn't long before Rocky started racing Ford V8-powered 60 Midgets. He later used Ferguson, Studebaker, Falcon, and eventually the powerful Offenhauser motors. He became famous while racing midgets in 1962 while driving the Lloyd Gifford Studebaker on the CSRA Ohio County Fair Circuit. The Gifford-Fisher team won the prestigious CSRA Silver Crown championship and finished third in the final Gold Crown points.

Rocky has won over 100 races in his career. He has raced against famous USAC drivers like A.J. Foyt and Mario Andretti.
