United States Equestrian Team

United States Equestrian Team

The United States Equestrian Team, or USET, was founded in 1950 at the Coates estate on van Beuren Road in Morristown, New Jersey and is the international equestrian team for the United States.

The United States Equestrian Team became the "United States Equestrian Team Foundation" in 2003 after the United States Equestrian Team and the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), which had been founded in 1917 as the American Horse Shows Association (AHSA), signed an agreement that made the foundation the unified governing body that included oversight of the Olympic equestrian disciplines in the United States.

The foundation supports high performance horses and equestrians, providing funding for coaching, training, competing, and traveling expenses to international shows and events. It provides these funds to the disciplines of dressage, eventing, show jumping, vaulting, driving, reining, endurance riding, and Para Equestrian competitions. The foundation has been the governing body for the national circuit of horse shows since its founding.

Now the United States Equestrian Team is based at "Hamilton Farm" in Gladstone, New Jersey.
