Eddie Wade (born 1948) is an Irish
Fianna Fáil politician. He was a TD for the constituency of Limerick East. Wade was first elected toDáil Éireann in the 1997 general election but lost his seat at the 2002 general election to party colleague Peter Power.He was first elected as a member of
Limerick County Council in 1979 for the Castleconnell Ward and retained his seat in the elections of 1985, 19991, 1999 and 2004, topping the poll on the last two occasions. During that period, he has been elected Cathaoirleach (chairman) of the Council on several occasions and has been a prominent member of the Association of County and City Councils.Before becoming a full-time public representative, he worked as a sales representative.
Eddie Wade has lived all his life in Cahernorry, Drombanna,
County Limerick and is a leading member of the localSouth Liberties GAA Club . He also served for many years as vice-chairman of Limerick GAA County Board.External links
