The word Kavyan refers to a group of
Malaysia n writers ofIndia n descent who write inBahasa Malaysia , the national language of Malaysia. Kavyan writers (or "Sasterawan Kavyan") contributenovel s, short stories, andpoem s to the Malaysian literary scene, occasionally in English and Tamil as well. The "Pertubuhan Sasterawan Kaum India Malaysia" ("(Malaysian Indian Writers' Association)") is an association of Kavyan writers. The Kavyan set a record in "The Malaysia Book of Records" for a continuous 96hour s & 32minute s recital of short stories in August-September 2003.External links
